-The Invisible Danger Slithering Behind The Story-
Witches / Wizards / Mediums
The Harry Potter story has led people to believe that witches, wizards, mediums, sorcerers, astrologers, and alchemists are a good thing – and have just been misunderstood by us “muggles.” The Bible teaches that the wizarding world’s philosophy, in all its facets, is not to be trusted. In fact, Nahum 3:3-7 gives us a peak at what God thinks about the wizarding philosophy.
Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts. Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame. And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.
Verse nineteen of the same chapter caps off God’s feeling about witchcraft by saying, “[There is] no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
So, as we have seen, King Saul was killed for consulting a witch, and Nineveh was destroyed because of their acceptance of witchcraft. There is a real religious philosophy lurking in the background of this fictitious story (Harry Potter). I will attempt to help you understand the connection between wicca, witchcraft, alchemy, astrology, gnosticism and the mystery religion of Babylon – with all its hidden secrets.
I want to make one thing clear: I am not fighting J.K Rowling, Dan Brown or any of the people trapped in the dragon’s web of deceit. But, I must expose the subtle philosophy of these books. The Word of God is in diametrical opposition to the religion that is being perpetuated through the storyline of these works of “fiction.”
There is so much “truth” out there; how does one come to the conclusion as to what is really true? That question takes us to the front flap of my book. I am seeking to give you a practical answer to the three big questions of life: Where did I come from? What is my purpose on this earth? What happens when I die? I believe those questions will be sufficiently answered as we make our way through the pages of this book.
What’s The Big Deal – It’s Just A Story
You may be asking yourself, “Mark, why make such a big deal about the names and places in the Harry Potter books? They’re just fiction – right?” Well, I believe it is more complex than that. Satan has always used art, music and literature to weave his deceitful spells. I believe the Harry Potter novel, The DaVinci Code, Pan’s Labyrinth, The Golden Compass, etc., etc., etc – are all being used by the false reality as a subtle method of impacting world thought, especially thought about the absolute authority of the Bible.
Let me use J.K. Rowling’s own words to explain my point. While sitting on a stalled train en route from Manchester to London, in the summer of 1990, Rowling says, “Harry just strolled into my head fully formed.” She said, “It’s as mysterious to me as to anyone else.” She would meticulously write clever names and places that would foreshadow events to occur later in her books.39
Inspiration — But From Where
Now, my question is this: Does someone spend five years developing a story for it to just sit there? Oh, no they do not. I’m traversing through that literary process right now. I believe the reason J.K. Rowling uses characters that directly tie into the mystery religion of Babylon – although she may be unaware of the connection herself – has to do with what happened on that stalled train in 1990. By her own lips she received an incredibly clear “inspiration” from who knows where, or from “He Who Must Not Be Named.”
When J.K Rowling denies she is involved in witchcraft – I, for one, believe her. Witchcraft is just the initiation stage into the more sinister religious philosophy of the mystery religion of Babylon. Alchemy, which is the search for the Philosopher’s Stone, is central to the plot of the Harry Potter novels. The first story always sets the tone for subsequent stories.
I trust that as we look at all the illustrations to follow, you will agree that the evidence to connect the witchcraft / wizardry of the Harry Potter novels with the mystery religion of Babylon is too overwhelming to ignore. You might not agree – and that is quite all right – but you’ll be hard-pressed to ignore the evidence.
“Cloaked” Philosophy
The religious philosophy strung throughout the Harry Potter novels is just as dangerous as the attacks of the DaVinci Code against the authority of the Bible. The main difference is that the religious philosophy of the Harry Potter novels is “cloaked” very well; whereas, the attacks of the DaVinci Code are outright.
We are going to look at Greek mythology, historical reality and other pagan ideas – which is loosely based on truth – from an enlightened perspective (the Bible always trumps other “sources” of truth). There is definitely a religious system that is driving the preoccupation to counterfeit and pervert the truth of the Bible. Every time God moves, Satan will move to counter what God is attempting to accomplish in your life. It is the storyline of the last seven thousand years of mankind. There are not many avenues to truth; there is only one truth (John 17:17). There are not many faiths; there are only two – that being God and Satan.
So, bear with me whilst I lay (I like to think I’m an enlightened “muggle”) a foundation as to why the Harry Potter novels, especially the first Harry Potter novel, are vital to our current spiritual battle for absolute truth.
Example #7: Albus Dumbledore
Next, we have the great Albus Dumbledore. He is an incredibly likeable chap, who gives people chance after chance to prove themselves. But, alas, just because someone does something good doesn’t mean, “it’s all good.”
Dumbledore, to me, is the most intriguing character of all the Harry Potter personalities. So, it was difficult for me to want to draw connections to the mystery religion of Babylon. But, that was not to be the case. In fact, his union with the religion in question is the most enlightening of them all. Let me explain.
Albus
According to the Wikipedia Encyclopedia and “A Muggle’s Guide To The Wizarding World,” Albus comes from the Old English and means, “white” or “wisdom.”60 Keep that in mind; it will become significant to our discussion shortly.
Albus is also known to be an alchemist and worked closely with the famed Nicolas Flamel. Flamel was the only wizard/alchemist to actually produce the elixir of life from the Philosopher’s Stone.
Dumbledore
The name, Dumbledore, in the Old English, means bumblebee. This is confirmed in the Muggle’s Guide To The Wizarding World, The Wikipedia Encyclopedia and other sources. Even though Rowling says that she gave him this name because he was like a flying insect, I believe it goes much deeper — deeper than maybe even Rowling herself realizes.
Again – quite by accident – I came across a little tidbit about bees in Babylonian religious beliefs. When you put this information together with the name Albus Dumbledore – a unique picture is conjured.
Bees And Wax Candles
Bees produce the wax for candles; we all know this from fifth grade science. These bees were revered because they produced the wax to be used for the making of candles, and the candles represented the wisdom of an enlightener. Alexander Hislop’s research reveals that, “the wax candle was, in fact, a hieroglyphic, like so many other things which we have already seen, and was intended to exhibit the Babylonian god in one of the essential characteristics of the Great Mediator.” 61
Nimrod The Illuminator
Mr. Hislop goes on to reveal that Nimrod, “as the sun god was regarded not only as the illuminator of the material world, but as the enlightener of the souls of men, for he was recognized as the revealer of ‘goodness and truth.”62 Sounds a lot like good ole’ Dumbledore to me.
Bee In The Mouth Of A Lion
In a Babylonian sculpture, a lion is shown carefully holding a bee in its mouth. The position of the bee in the mouth of the lion is unmistakable.63 It is an outright counterfeit of Jesus, who is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is the imparter of absolute truth.
Interestingly enough, bees deliver their young swarms through their mouths. The Babylonian message is clear: You can gain enlightenment (wisdom – Dumbledore and Minerva) as you understand that the sun god (white light) is the giver of truth. It is true; the “swarms” of pagan mysticism are being loosed on our culture.
So, as you enjoy (and I sincerely hope that you do) the Harry Potter films and read the novels, I hope that you will pay attention to the wax candles that seem to be consistent companions of Albus Dumbledore. He is the “bee” that imparts the “light” of “wisdom” to those around him (unless, of course, he chooses to use his deilluminator).
The Bible says that Satan and his minions are angels of light. They pose as messengers of good, but are really the harbingers of lies. If Albus Dumbledore was not a wizard, I would like him as a grandparent. But, alas – he’s a wizard; and therefore, we must be wary of his true intentions.
